Georges Braque was a major French painter, collagist, draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor. Along with Pablo Picasso, he is credited as the co-founder of Cubism, one of the most revolutionary movements in modern art. Braque's later work focused on still lifes, birds in flight, and landscapes, rendered with rich textures and a masterful sense of colour and composition. His extensive body of graphic work, including numerous lithographs published by Maeght and featured in Derrière le Miroir, remains highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
